Having successfully operated Freshwater Inn & Bistro in Gambo for 4 years Alex and Nicole Bracci opened Bistro on Roe in Gander, on December 1st, 2006.

After living with the demands of operating a business within their home and raising a family at the same time, they felt they needed to re-evaluate their lifestyle and focus their work solely on the part of the business they enjoyed the most – the food! Because so many of their loyal diners in Gambo were from Gander, moving into Gander to open a restaurant was the next logical step.

Their approach to this business is to provide Gander with a gathering place where food is presented in a first class manner but with more moderate prices and less formality. This is reflected in the bistro’s friendly, relaxed atmosphere and stunning décor–balanced with excellent service, fantastic food and wine.
